1. National Level National Institute of Disaster Management, New Delhi:
The institute was constituted under the Disaster Management Act 2005 has been entrusted with the nodal national responsibility for human resource development, capacity building, training, research, documentation and policy advocacy in the field of disaster management.

2. Andhra Pradesh Centre for Management of Environment & Disaster:
This centre was stated in 1994 under the Central Sector Scheme for Natural Disaster Management Programme with a view to undertake for Research, Training, documentation and Information services related to Disaster Management.
3. Arunachal Pradesh Disaster Management Centre:
The disaster management centre was initially established under the North Easter Regional Institute of Science & Technology and was later shifted to the Administrative Training Institute, Naharagun.
4. Assam Centre for Natural Disaster Management:
The North-Eastern Region of India has been traditionally vulnerable to natural hazards, such as flood, earthquakes, landslides and cyclone. Centre for Natural Disaster Management was established in the Assam Administrative Staff college, Guwahati in 2003. The centre to enhance competence in preparedness, mitigation & rehabilitation process. The centre is actively engaged in capacity building, research and documentation to spearhead the activities related to disaster management in Assam.
5. Bihar Disaster Management Centre:
The Disaster Management Centre was established within BIPARD which has conducted various training programmes of the state government officials and NGOs etc.
6. Chhattisgarh Disaster Management Centre:
The Disaster Management Centre has been established under the umbrella of Chhattisgarh Academy of Administration in July 2007. Since its inception the DMC has organised many training programmes like Basic of DM, Panchayati Raj Management Plan and also conducted awareness campaign and prepared poster, brochure and pamphlets related to State specific Disasters .
7. Delhi Disaster Management Centre:
The Centre has been setup at UTCS only in the year 2008. DMC has undertaken a number of training programmes during 2008-09 & 2009-10.
8. Gujarat Institute of disaster Management:
The Institute of Disaster Management was established as a training & research wing of Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA) on 26th Jan. 2004. The main thrust of the institute is to provide proper insight, knowledge and skills to stakeholders at various levels in the State. The institute had conducted 112 training programme till 2007.
9. Haryana Centre for Disaster Management:
The Centre was established at the Haryana Institute of Public Administration as its integral part on 1st July 1994. The centre has started with unique opportunity to promote a strategic and systematic approach to reduce vulnerabilities and risk of hazards.
10. Himachal Pradesh Disaster Management Cell:
The Disaster Management Cell of HP in the year 2000-01. The institute has acquired the responsibility of imparting training in the field of disaster prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, relief rehabilitation etc and also undertaking research studies, documentation, development of data base etc.
11. Jammu & Kashmir Disaster Management Centre:
The Disaster Management Centre was started in 1998. The DMC conducts programmes in collaboration with various Government & Non-Government agencies. The Centre has the credit of creating mass awareness amongst the stakeholders especially the Govt. Functionaries and the member of the NGOs.
12. Jharkhand Disaster Management Centre:
the DMC has been established under the aegis of NIDM, New Delhi. The Centre recognized as a Regional Training Institute of Incident Command System in the Easter India covering states of Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa and Jharkhand.
13. Karnataka Centre for Disaster Management:
The Centre became operation in the ATI campus Mysore since 2000-01 and was made full fledge during the year 2007-08. The Centre aims to fulfilling training needs Govt. Deptt., NGOs elected Representatives and the community for effective management of natural and manmade disaster. The centre conducted over 50 training programmes and 20 mock drills. Besides the documentation of past disaster, case studies on urban floods and health care management etc have been carried out.
14. Kerala Disaster Management Cell:
The DMC Kerala was inducted in the year 2000 and the institute of Land Management was re-designated as the Institute of Land & Disaster Management in 2006 The Centre has conducted 650 programme of SHG’s, NSS, NYK, Revenue Official, Engineers etc.
